A man who lives in the city of Óbidos in the 20th century during the Estado Novo sees the wall of his city being rebuilt with fake books by the hands of Salazar. With the aim of preserving the culture of books, he went in search of the books not yet censored in order to replace the fake books on the wall with real ones.
